Your questions about successful entrepreneurs

Laura asks…

How does our society treat independent thinkers, daring innovators, and successful entrepreneurs?

admin answers:

It depends on if the majority can use what they have, if they are popular enough then they can face lawsuits. If they are independent thinkers but the majority does not approve then they will be seen as charlatans and dismissed. We teach our children in school to obey, sit quietly and do what they are told. If there is one that goes against the grain-they are the independent thinkers. Then every effort is made to stifle them and make them conform rather than help them develop their talent. Throughout the age of man independent thinkers and people who test the boundries are often seen as disruptive- Galileo was one, Jim Morrison another. Some are accepted and some are rejected, it depends on the social climate of the time.

Mary asks…

Have all successful entrepreneurs started with money and education?

I’m basically getting ready to jump into a job with a trait because i’ve had a real run of bad luck with money to stay in school.

But me and a buddy want to open an entertainment place just outside Chicago. A paintball, laser tag entertainment place. Perfect location, to as all roads to it lead to and from the city, and just about every suburb in the area, wealthy and otherwise.

but you need money to make money. we want to look into property investors. We’re smart, hard workers, but without any real education what are the chances of us jumping into entrepreneunership, and convincing investors we’d be, well, a good investment? or is our lack of schooling gonna kick us while we’re down?

admin answers:

I think you should become a walrus farmer.I think that would be a great choice for someone of your hairiness.I think it would seriously help make you money and you could even make coats for Dan.I think walrus farming is a great, healthy, and respectful choice for someone of your nature. If you don’t like walruses you can try and breed pigs to make green pork chops. That would be phenomenal.

Smart people, what is the best thing to do?

We dont know if we should buy investment properties now or just save money for the next two years. We live in WA (australia) and the housing prices have dropped to affordable, we can afford (with the help of tenants) to buy one and a half houses in the northern suburbs of perth (close to the beach). Should we go for it or should we sit on it? I am thinking we will be likely to spend more money if we try the savings approach and I am also thinking that the prices of these suburbs are going to rise with their proximity to the coast and the fact that they are in driving distance of the CBD and all the suburbs below them along the coast are averaging over 0,000 while these ones we have picked are 300-350k. What do you think?

Being conned by a member of my family?

A few years ago I ran into some money when my parents died. I lent my brother-in-law over 0,000 for his business and he lost the lot. What I am cranky about is that I found out later while his business was in trouble he was leasing a jaguar, having holidays on Stradbroke Island and buying expensive presents for his kids. When he know he couldn’t pay me he asked me to buy his house for 0,000 and he would take off what he owed me – his house sold for 0,000. He also offered me some of his investment properties at inflated prices.
Now two and half years down the track,my wife’s family have decided that I am the evil one because I won’t forgive him and he’s the poor business entrepreneur who had a bit of bad luck, but will pay me back some day.
I have accepted that he will never pay me back and probably never intended to. I suggested that my wife’s brothers (two of whom are extremely well off) should share the debt with me but my wife said that was a silly suggestion.

what do I need to do financially to start a property portfolio?

I have been reading about lots of everyday people building impressive property portfolio’s (e.g. 5 or more houses) and I want to invest my money and hopefully make a very tidy retirement fund doing the same thing. my question is how do they go about it financially and can I do this too?

At the moment I earn 0,000 a year gross and have just purchased my first property 6 months ago for 0,000. I currently owe 5,000. my debts include a 00 credit card debt and a ,000 car debt.

where do I need to be at financially to look at buying an investment property around the 0,000 price and how do I continue to do this? I would love to be able to purchase an investment property every 6-12months. I want to rent these investment properties out.

Is this possible for me to achieve?

Anyone who can give me some advice, would be greatly appreciated.

Will I receive the $900 Stimulus Bonus (Australia)?

I am a fulltime student and I work as a casual. I didnt receive the student payment as I’m not on Austudy etc.

Anyways last financial year my dad decided to spread his income across my mum, brother, sister and myself. This is because he owns alot of investment properties and therefore earns alot of income from rent and his accountant suggested it to reduce his tax he has to pay by 1000′s.

I made 18k myself last financial year (it says that on my group certificate) but with the extra income it went upto 70k. Will I still get the
bonus? Or will there be some rule that I can’t? This is through a family trust btw.

And also my brother doesnt even work, but he hadto lodge a tax return for an income of 30k……will he get the bonus too? Even though he didnt work?
Yeh how did I know some un-educated person would say that?

Im at Uni fulltime and I earn less than 20k a year. Why dont I recieve any help from the Government and the people nexto me in the same position do? And they get an extra 0 for the student stimulus and I dont. I get nothing, I dont get anything to begin with from the Government either! Why should everything haveto do with what your parents earn.

My mum or dad wont get any money from the Government but why shouldn’t I? Im not earning that income am I?

Anyone know the answer?? I might just haveto wait and see.

What to do with my property investment?

I bought this property 2 years ago. Now it’s worth less than when I bought it, and every month it costs me more money. I don’t want to hold it anymore, if I sell it now, what other costs would involve? what would they do about the money I owe?

Is this legal or just to do? "Investment property"?

Ok try keeping it simple and easy to follow.. I have an investment property that is currently managed by an agent for about a year now (still new to the whole concept)….
Now i am and was made aware that regarding the water bill, that i was to pay for the service charges and the usage in which the usage will be reimbursed back to me by my tenant…
Now in last November 2010, I have paid my bill for the water and still to date have not received by reimbursement, keeping in mind i have changed agents in December, so new agent is not aware off too much… I am currently bombarding my agent and saying i need this money urgently… (they promised me they are chasing them and have sent them a final reminder)…

Now my question is since being almost 3 months and my new water bill is due soon, can i or do i have a right as a landlord to refuse to pay this charge or call my water company to disconnect water at my place… I do not at all want to resort to this especially cause the tenats are quite ill and depend on their water for their health, do not wanna be blamed if they get really sick or die.. nor do i want this to happen in no way shape or form but i am out of ideas and need the money to afford my next bill…???

any idea on what is legal and just to get this sorted (keeping in mind being having a quite good relationship with them (tenants) and they are very good usually except for this instance), so don’t wanna ruin that either..

Is there someone i can call maybe???

Any further info or advice more so will be greatly appreciated….

Thanks,

21st Century Forex Course?

Anyone else have bad experience with Jamie McIntyre’s 21st Century Forex course. Iam currently on a payment plan paying off ,000 plus. This is a lot of money to be paying off for a course especially on my low income. I really don’t see much benefit from this course. Im on the 21st Forex autotrader and see my trading capital going down. I want to get a full refund. Im already past the 90 day refund period though, is there a way to get out of this program or complain to a governing body about this company and course. I was hoping Forex to be way to help create wealth and financial independence, but i feel it was a really bad financial mistake.
